Anti Apolipoprotein A-1 (human)

Mouse monoclonal antibody

Cat.No. HYB 069-01

Subclass IgG1/k
Presentation:

Preparation: Protein-A/G purified
Content: Available in 200 µL and 1 mL
Concentration: 1 mg/mL
Solvent: 0.01 M phosphate buffer, pH 7.4, with 0.5 M NaCl and 15 mM sodium azide
Storage: In the dark at 4-8ºC

Antigen:

Apolipoprotein A-1 (apo A-1) in human plasma is a major protein component of high density lipoprotein (HDL). The molecular mass is 24 kDa. Apo A-1 is a cofactor for enzymes involved in the normal turnover of cholesterol and is produced in the liver. Plasma concentration is 270-380 mg/100 ml (1).

Immunogen:

Apo A-1 isolated from human plasma (2)

Specificity:

HYB 069-01 has specificity for apo A-1 from human serum/plasma. No crossreactivity is seen with human apolipoprotein B.

Epitope specificity:

Not determined

Reactivity:

HYB 069-01 reacts with apo A-1 from human serum/plasma when tested in sandwich ELISA in combination with a polyclonal antibody against apo A-1 and also in ELISA with purified apo A-1 or HDL directly coated onto the microtiterwell. In Western blot after SDS-PAGE, HYB 69-01 reacts with apo A-1 in reduced as well as in non-reduced forms.
