Anti-Adrenomedullin (human)

Mouse monoclonal antibody

Cat.No. ABS 027-01

Subclass IgG1/k
Presentation:

Preparation: Protein-A/G purified
Content: Available in 200 µL and 1 mL
Concentration: 1 mg/mL
Solvent: 0.01 M phosphate buffer, pH 7.4, with 0.5 M NaCl and 15 mM sodium azide
Storage: In the dark at 4-8ºC

Antigen:

Human adrenomedullin is a 52 amino-acid peptide (mw 6029) with the physiological effect of lowering blood pressure through vasodilatation, an effect it shares with calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) and vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP). In addition adrenomedullin has other cardiovascular effects including growth and development of both cardiovascular tissues and bone, and has effects in the central nervous system connected with the regulation of fluid balance.

Immunogen:

Synthetic human adrenomedullin 1-52

Specificity:

ABS 027-01 binds human adrenomedullin and shows no cross-reaction with CGRP

Epitope specificity:

The epitope of ABS 027-01 lies within residues 22-52.

Reactivity:

The ELISA dilution guideline applies to adrenomedullin coated directly at 1.0 g/mL. The binding of ABS 027-01 to this coat is not inhibited by full length adrenomedullin in solution up to a concentration of 1umol/L, but is inhibited by adrenomedullin (22-52) in solution.
