Mouse monoclonal antibody
Cat.No. HYB 182-01
Preparation: Protein-A/G purified
Content: Available in 200 µL and 1 mL size.1 mg/mL +/- 15%. See Certificate of Analysis for details.
Solvent: 0.01 M phosphate buffer, pH 7.4, containing 0.5 M NaCl and 15mM sodium azide
Storage: 4-8ºC without exposure to light. No precautions necessary during handling.
Mannan-binding lectin (MBL) belongs to the C-type family of collectins. It functions as an opsonin which activates complement on binding to microbial polysaccharides. Studies on chicken MBL are described in refs 1-4.
MBL purified from chicken plasma and adsorbed onto aluminum hydroxide
HYB 182-01 is specific for chicken MBL
Not determined
In ELISA HYB 182-01 reacts strongly with chicken MBL. HYB 182-01 can be used as coating antibody (5 µg/mL) with biotinylated HYB 182-01 as detection antibody (1 µg/mL) in sandwich ELISA (1-3). In Western blotting a dilution guideline of 1/1000 has proved successful (4).
