Held in conjunction with the 23rd SIS-Europe Congress on Surgical Infections and the 2nd Interdisciplinary Summit on Inflammation, TSIS 2010 is the world forum in its field.

Only the most prominent basic and clinical scientists present up-to-date research findings and ideas on the current and future perspectives. So, it is a matter of pride that BioPorto’s Scientific Director Dr. L.O. Uttenthal has been invited by the TSIS 2010 Scientific Committee to give an oral presentation entitled “Neutrophil Gelatinase Associated Lipocalin (NGAL)” in the session “My favorite biomarker(s)/analytical devices for clinical use (part B)” on Saturday, March 13 at 14.15-16.45.

Furthermore, BioPorto Diagnostics’ APC-PCI ELISA Kit will be promoted. The APC-PC ELISA Kit is the first and only commercially available kit to measure this biomarker in clinical samples, and preliminary data suggests it can be used to identify critically ill sepsis patients with an exceptionally high mortality.
