BioPorto Diagnostics is happy to announce the launch of a unique group of monoclonal antibodies against components of the Plasminogen Activation System. The antibodies are very well characterized and have been applied in numerous publications.
Plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) antibody
PAI-1 is the principal inhibitor of urokinase plasminogen activator (uPA) and tissue plasminogen activator (tPA). Current research is focused on determining the role of PAI-1 in various cancers
MON I-1, MON I-2, MON I-3, MON I-5, MON I-6
Tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) antibody
tPA converts plasminogen to active plasmin. It plays a key role in thrombolysis, several neurobiological processes and is also thought to play a role in cancer.
MON T-1
Urokinase plasminogen activator (uPA) antibody
uPA converts plasminogen to active plasmin and plays a key role in cancer invasion and a variety of tissue remodelling processes such as wound healing, mammary gland involution and placental development.
MON U-5, MON U-6, MON U-12, MON U-16
Urokinase plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR) antibody
uPAR binds uPA and enhances and localizes uPA catalyzed plasminogen activation, and thereby plays a key role in cancer invasion and in several tissue remodelling processes. In addition uPAR also binds to vitronectin and therefore ongoing research to determine the biological functions independent of its role in uPA mediated proteolysis is advancing.
