BioPorto A/S collects information from all three markets in which the company operates: basic research, clinical research, and routine diagnostics. This enables BioPorto to develop, validate and market new and improved biomarkers in the correct assay format. The selection of biomarkers is made under consideration of market potenital and the option of protecting intellectual property rights or any other competitive advantage. BioPorto expects to follow two routes for obtaining shares of the routine diagnostic market: both via sales of its own products and by entering into licensing and collaboration agreements with major diagnostic companies.
